Sketch books and animation!

It’s been a couple of months since I’ve posted any of my sketch book stuff. I’ve been sketching more than ever at the moment. This post contains my favourite drawing from my last 3 sketchbook's. There’s so much more that i could have posted, but I couldn’t be bothered to scan anymore. I’ve just started a new sketch book so I thought it would be a good time to post from the previous 3 books.
I hope you like.

And yes, some animation. It’s one of the first things I’ve done in ages, and It’s pretty crappy. I was mucking around in flash and I liked what I was doing, so I kept on wanting to see it a bit more refined. Thus what started as a square with a circle for a head turn in to a caricature off me, which is ultimately a square with a head...which is circular? but now i don't like it much. (but when do i ever like my work :) )
It’s got a lightbox and a chair in the background, and i was toying with the notion that he was going to grab the chair and start doing something at the light box, but I think it’s a bit cliché. So i think I’m going to scrap the background. If anyone’s got a idea about what he (I) could do next I’m all ears...unlike my caricature which has no ears.

Preggers!

This week our model was a pregnent woman but half way through the session she started to feel faint, it was a bit scary, i think she passed out at one point, so someone had to call an ambalance!
but when she left she was fine, i think she was just feeling a little weak.

they called another model to come so we could finish off the session which was amazing because i thought that would be it for the night.

here's the new bloke below

i'm gonna post again this week, so stay tuned!

"UN NER!"

That’s what the guy in my head was doing yesterday while rubbing his chin in the most un-p.c way, every time I laid down a mark. "UN NER!"

Thank god our instructor gave us the option of taking part in a tonal exercise. If you decided to take part, you had to cover your paper first in black with charcoal (which I did) Then build up the image using a range of tones and shapes using a rubber and charcoal. Found it kind of hard because you couldn’t use lines. But i think i learnt a lot about tones and how to use them to create depth when drawing. So even though I’m not that happy with what I did, I think I learnt loads from it.

feedback is very welcome.

two naked chicks

Today i had to women models, but thats enough of my sex life, ba-dom-boom-peish...huh hrm... i was a bit nervous when i saw both of them...but then i managed to get it up, ba-dom-boom-peish...heerrr haac hrmmmmm hrm...

ok, ok, enough rubbish jokes! When i saw them both, i thought "shiiiit!" i'd never drawn two models at the same time before. but i found it really enjoyable, i found with two model i had a lot of points of reference for proportion and placement, so it was actually quite helpful.

Anyways let me know what you think. i'd really love some feed back on these and the ones on the last post. i think i'm gonna post my life drawing asap, so that when i get feed back, i can apply the suggestion to my next session.

a quick little post of last weeks life drawing.

I'm going again on Tuesday night as well. so i thought I'd post these quickly before the drawings start mounting up. I'll probably post again on Wednesday.
i still need to post my sketchbook stuff. maybe I'll stick them up next week.

i would really, really love some feedback on these. it's good when i get feed back because it gives me some to think about, and tryout in my next session. so any critiques are most welcome
