Cool sketch bro, your proportions are definately improving. I was looking at yours and Ks side by side, (I always learn something from his drawings) notice how he leaves certain parts of the the drawing out to emphasise light and dark, (top of the head, side of the arm)Maybe think about that in your next drawing, I'm definately going to. Sorry for my lack of feedback of late bro....

Also the strokes of his pencil are more varied (by the way, I'm applying all this in my next class)

Yeah, thanks wes for pointing out that kristians are better than mine, i hadn't noticed that, hahahaha:)

In all seriousness that’s really helpful, i hadn't notice that trick for the light and dark emphasise trick. I’ll try that out. It’s a pity you didn't post sooner coz I went life drawing this evening and it would of been a useful tip.

also it was really useful sitting next to k, because we were drawing from nearly the same angle, so looking back on his and mine, i can see where i went wrong in not capturing certain areas of the pose. Lydia point out that I didn't vary my use of tones like k does. So I try that in this evening’s session. I’ll post them later this week.

Thanks for the critique Wes, I really appreciate it buddy.

Hey Tim, I wouldnt say you went wrong, that's not the way to look at it. I think Its about looking at the way you approach something, having a different perspective so you can discover something new about yourself. To suggest your wrong is to suggest K is right. I'm sure you dont want to draw exactly like him, but you want to reach that level of understanding, know what I mean. Anyway, keep it up bro.

maartin and marco: your very kind, but the more i look at the 3rd one down the more i don't like it, goes for the 4th as well. and i've only been life drawing twice a week once, can't really aford more than once really.

wes- yeah i know exactly what you mean. drawing, and art in general, arn't about being right and wrong.

When I draw I’m trying to discover the best way to convey certain aspects of a pose i.e. light source, weight, balance ect. Looking at k's drawings, coz they were nearly from the same angle i can see that he found more successful ways of conveying those aspects. And that doesn’t make me feel bad, I’m very much inspired.

i don't think it's as simple as right and wrong. I know that there are equally successful ways of communicating those aspects in completely different way. That’s one of the main things i love about drawing, and why I look at so many people’s work.
I totally agree with you on that one buddy.

Thanks for your comments, they mean a lot

i feel like i'm reading my orbituary.
who is this kristian guy he sounds like a real cool guy.
Tim, Firstly I love your drawing. All I would say is that tone isn't really necessary. Admittedly it makes a pretty picture but it doesn't maketh the drawing. You got the form early (i was looking at your drawing as you went along). from a those great curved foem defining lines. You are on the right track and need to follow you , wes and maartens example and keep drawing and keep enjoying it.
